Canada, Eh! Part 2

We left Duluth EARLY in the morning on Saturday. Well, at least it was EARLY for me… I mean, I rarely wake up before 9 am. The drive to Thunder Bay was pretty long, but very fun! We talked, we listened to music and we looked at pretty Lake Superior to our right. I didn’t take any pictures of that and I don’t really remember why.

Anyway, we mad it through customs without getting in trouble and made it to Thunder Bay. I’m not sure what exactly I expected, but I didn’t find that in Thunder Bay. It was totally boring. But still! A super fun trip. Brian had to stop at a Tim Hortons (which I kept calling Tom Hirtons, because I’m real smart). He got a small coffee. They made it out of pre-packaged powder and hot water. Super classy joint, tell you whut. : ) We also had lunch at a place called Kelsey’s. The server was SUPER wonderful and totally Canadian. She said “eh” and “folks” and maybe even “der” (there). She asked the cooks what we should do while we were there and their answer was “Do what what we do, go to Duluth”.

See? Pretty boring…

We side-tripped to Temperance River State Park and took some photos. It was REALLY pretty and REALLY wet.

All in all, it was a pretty great trip!

Canada, eh! Part 1

My friend Brian and I are taking a vacation this weekend. First stop – Duluth, MN and then off to Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, eh.

We took a little side trip to some abandoned houses. Surprisingly, I didn’t totally freak myself out…

I need to shoot more!

I’ve been complaining recently that I don’t have time to get out and shoot but then when I do have time, I forget my camera! So, instead, I’ve been using my iPhone with this super fun app called Hipstamatic. Here are some photos from today!

This is my friend Brian from work. He’s pretty awesome and thankfully doesn’t read my blog so me posting this photo won’t get my in too much trouble.

This is my other friend Brian. We went thrifting and to Ax-Man today. It was pretty great.

Ashley and Patrick are a really cute couple from Duluth that came down to take some engagement photos in Stillwater last week. It was a little chilly, but they were great sports. I’m really looking forward to their wedding next October!

Here are some of my favorites from their session! These photos were uploaded last friday, but I thought I had broken my website with that post, so I deleted it. Turns out, I just deactivated something that I shouldn’t have. This is why I shouldn’t be allowed access to site settings! : )

Souptown is Super!

A couple of weeks ago, I headed up to Duluth, MN to hang out with some great friends of mine. I needed to test photos on this blog and figured that these pictures would be great for that! So here goes.

This is Jer. He’s kind of weird…

We hung out at the mall where Jer, Ethan and Eve all tried on atrociously tight clothing and had photo shoots in the dressing rooms of various stores. I stood outside pretending I didn’t know them and blushing, of course.

It was a beautiful day out, so we headed to Eve’s house in Superior, WI and hung out.

I made Ethan act like a high school senior for a few shots…

Then Jer came over and added a little leafy goodness to his photo.

Finally, I made Eve sit for me. She wasn’t very happy about it.

Oh and Bandit hung out too.
